​Andrew Westacott is the longest serving Chief Executive of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC).

​

Andrew commenced at the AGPC in 2006 as the General Manager - Operations before later being appointed Deputy CEO.  He was appointed as CEO in February 2011. He is currently a Director of Karting Australia and a Member of the Organising Committee for the Australian Motorsport Hall of Fame Awards.  He has previously been a Member of the Formula 1® Commission and the Australian Motorsport Foundation. 

​

Prior to commencing at the AGPC, Andrew started his professional life as a chemical engineering project manager before taking up senior positions in logistics, procurement and supply chain management with MasterFoods Australia New Zealand and Uncle Ben’s of Australia.  He then moved into major events in 2005 and played a key part in the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games as Group Manager for Venue Delivery and Capital Projects.

 

He has a love of sport and sporting events and is committed to showcasing Melbourne and Victoria to the world through the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix and the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Dianne is CEO of ICN Victoria which, supported by the Victorian Government, has been working for local industry since 1984 to increase local capability and economic growth opportunities for local industry.  

 

Previously, Chief Executive of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce and Chief Executive, Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), Dianne uses knowledge gained from over 20 years in the visitor economy, working in regional and metropolitan positions in marketing, visitor services, policy and strategy.  Other roles in the sector included Manager - Tourism Partnerships, Parks Victoria, for nine years, Executive Director, Ballarat Tourism and Marketing & Visitor Services Manager of Melbourne Zoo. She has worked in the hotel and computer industries, and holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University.

 

Dianne represented regional Victoria on the State Government’s Community Support Fund Community Advisory Panel in the late 1990s.  She was a member of Victoria University’s Vice Chancellor’s Industry Advisory Board (IAB) from 2016 – 2019. Dianne is currently a non-Executive Director of the Emerald Tourist Railway Board and is the Deputy Chair.

We thank Claire for stepping in today, she has kindly offered to present in place of Professor Bronwyn Fox who is unwell.
 

Professor Bronwyn Fox is Chief Scientist of CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency and innovation catalyst.

Professor Bronwyn Fox joined CSIRO in October 2021 and became CSIRO’s fourth female Chief Scientist.  She is known globally as a leader in advanced manufacturing, materials science, and industry 4.0 technologies, and is passionate about bringing together multidisciplinary teams for collaborative research.

She was formerly Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) at Swinburne University of Technology and founding Director of Swinburne’s Manufacturing Futures Research Institute. During that time, she established a world first Industry 4.0 Testlab for additive manufacturing of carbon fibre composites, in collaboration with CSIRO.

Leigh Kennedy is NERA’s General Manager - Hydrogen with a focus on working collaboratively across Australia to develop regional hydrogen technology clusters and build a national hydrogen technology cluster that can be promoted around the world.

​

Before joining NERA, for almost the last decade, Leigh worked with Austrade’s international network and government partners to drive Austrade's global resources and energy foreign direct investment attraction and facilitation strategy and assist clients (developers, capital and technology companies) deliver on their Australian expansion plans. Aligned to many global companies transition to becoming green and announcing net zero emission targets, the focus honed-in on renewable energy and hydrogen investment opportunities. Working collaboratively with all state and territory governments along with key Australian Government agencies and clients,  Leigh built relationships with strategic investors across the world. He also has significant experience in energy security policy when based in Canberra.

A serial entrepreneur, having cofounded the first spin-off company from Charles Darwin University before exiting to NYSE listed company Regal Beloit (Fasco). Product successes have included world record holding solar cars, innovative electric motors, electric bicycles, pool pumps and more. He is a currently cofounder and CEO of SPEE3D, a high-speed, metal 3D printing company.

Erin Coldham is the Chief Development Officer at Star of the South, a trailblazing offshore wind project which seeks to harness Bass Strait winds to power more than a million homes with clean energy, while creating thousands of jobs.  

 

Erin is responsible for the project’s development activities, working with industry, regulators, policy-makers and local communities to make Gippsland and Victoria the home of offshore wind in Australia. 

 

Included in A Word About Wind’s Top 100 Women’s Power List 2021, Erin is a champion for female talent in the energy industry and in her spare time enjoys spending time with family and watching various sports including AFL, horse racing and Formula 1.

 .

Colin joined ICN (Vic) in April 2017 after more than 38 years in the Victorian Power Industry, including 20 years as Engineering Manager at Victoria’s largest power station, Loy Yang A.

 

Colin’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), a Master of Engineering (Mechanical), a Master of Business Administration, and he is also the joint recipient of several Victorian Engineering Excellence awards.
